The ReUse People reduces the solid waste stream and changes the way the built environment is renewed by salvaging building materials and distributing them for reuse.
WasteCap Training Available at GreenBuild 2012
By Ted Reiff
In addition to having a booth at this year’s USGBC GreenBuild in San Francisco, TRP will co-host the Construction and Demolition Waste Reuse and Recycling Training, a USGBC recognized accreditation course provided by WasteCap Resource Solutions.
WasteCap is a Milwaukee based nonprofit organization committed to transforming waste into resources and has been providing this training for over six years throughout the country. LEED Accredited Professionals and Associates attending the training are eligible to receive 7.5 continuing education units.
The training is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13th at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
Nationwide, many building owners, contractors and municipalities require documentation on waste recycling. That’s increasingly true here in California. Those who know how to meet this demand will have a competitive advantage. This training provides the skills to develop, manage, monitor, document and promote a successful program for construction and demolition debris – from reuse to recycling.
Participants will receive three-year Accreditation in Construction Waste Recycling, as well as training to obtain LEED construction waste management points. WasteCap’s training course is approved by the US Green Building Council as a part of the Education Provider Program. The Education Provider Program was designed for professionals seeking to go beyond LEED and enrich their knowledge of green building theories, techniques and business trends.
Education Provider courses serve building professionals, LEED APs, and anyone interested in expanding their knowledge. All courses are preeminent in green building education, align with USGBC’s educational mission, and are thoroughly reviewed and meet USGBC’s criteria for instructional design and content quality.
So in addition to seeing us at our booth, I encourage you to join WasteCap and TRP at this outstanding training program.
