Nancy Pearlman

Director

Nancy Pearlman, a four-term publically-elected member of the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Community College District, leads the effort to develop sustainable buildings and operations within the nine college system. She is an award-winning broadcaster, journalist, environmentalist, college instructor, anthropologist, editor, producer, on-air personality, and outdoorswoman who has made safeguarding the earth’s ecosystems both a vocation and an avocation. For 44 years, Nancy has given her time and energy to environmental causes. She was selected by the United Nations Environment Programme as a Global 500 Laureate and has received many other honors, including three EMMY nominations.

Shannon Barnes

Secretary, Vice President / Controller

Shannon acquired warehousing, material logistics, leadership and tactical skills in the U.S. Army and has since held accounting, administrative, IT and management roles in retail, manufacturing, and consulting. She started with TRP in 2007, opening the Los Angeles warehouse and managing it for four years before relocating to the corporate office to manage TRP's computer network, websites, and digital media. In 2014, she also assumed the role of controller for the organization. Shannon holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Information Systems. Her “leisure” hours are devoted to ballet, clarinet, costume design, gourmet cooking and dog rescue.

Wally Geer

Educated as an architect, with extensive post graduate training in sustainable building, Wally is president of Greymar Associates, a full service architectural and real estate development company that specializes in sustainable building. With over 30 years of industry experience in U.S. and international projects, he serves as director and COO of the Central Coast Chapter of the USGBC, has held local and regional positions with the National Association of Home Builders, the Urban Land Institute, and the Building Systems Council, and is the first U.S. citizen to be accepted to the Japanese 2X4 Home Builders Association.
